About Mangal Maity

Mangal Maity, which has been in existence for 14 years in the form of an association with an objective to preserve and develop the culture & language of Gorkhas / Nepali speaking community, is now being managed by the Mangal Maity Charitale Trust with much broader objectives.

Established in the year 2013 under Registration No. – 4384/2013- IV 1231, dated 08/04/2013.Siliguri is one of the fastest developing cities & is the gateway to Sikkim & the North-eastern states. It shares a common international border with Bhutan, Nepal & Bangladesh. Siliguri is also an upcoming business centre; Ultra modern medical facilities are also available along with quality education. Siliguri has always remained the favorite haunt for people coming to visit the hill stations. It is the melting pot for people from Gorkha / Nepali community from the adjoining hills / Sikkim / North eastern States & neighboring countries.

Keeping in view the above possibilities, an immediate need has been felt for us to build a community building which would cater to the requirements of the common public. It has been equipped with facilitates to hold community programmes for the purpose of the upliftment of social, cultural, educational and economical standards of the Gorkha / Nepali Community.
